Frequently Asked Questions: e-Proposals (On-line
Proposal Submission)
Q. What is e-Proposals?
A. e-Proposals is a web-based application that allows Proponents
to submit project proposals electronically to PCIERD for possible
funding and check the status through the PCIERD website.
Q. What are the requirements of e-Proposals?
A. e-Proposals requires the following:
- Connection to the Internet - you may submit your proposals
at home, office or even at an internet café.
- Registration to our on-line proposal submission - You must
first sign up in order to have a User ID and Password to log on
to e-Proposals
Registration is FREE.
Before you register, be sure that you have read PCIERD's guidelines
on Grants-In-Aid (GIA) found at the PCIERD website.
During registration you should provide your complete mailing
address to receive PCIERD's acknowledgement letter and a valid
e-mail address for on-line access to updates on the project
proposal.
- An electronic copy of your project proposal in Microsoft Word
(95, 97, 2000, XP) document format - for your convenience, we
have provided a downloadable copy of PCIERD
Form 01-D in MS Word format at the PCIERD website which you
can use as template in submitting your project proposal.
Q. What are the guidelines for file submission?
A.
- You can only upload one (1) file for each project proposal.
- File size of the project proposal should not exceed 1 Mb (Megabyte).
- The length of the filename should not exceed 20 characters
including the extension name.
- Before uploading files, be sure to check the list of files
uploaded to avoid duplication.
Q. What are the guidelines in naming the project proposal file?
A. The project proposal file should be named using your
User ID plus the number that corresponds to the number of times
you have submitted a project proposal.
Example:
If your User ID is Demo_User, and you will be submitting your
first project proposal then the name of the project proposal file
will be Demo_User1.doc
Henceforth, filename of the second project proposal you will
be submitting will be Demo_User2.doc and so on.
Q. After registration, what's next?
A. Once you have registered an account you may now proceed
to the log in page and type your User ID and Password to access
the submission facility. Once logged in, you will be provided with
a page containing links to the following:
- Guidelines for Uploading - contains the rules in submitting
a project proposal file
- Upload Files - page where you submit a project proposal
- List files uploaded - displays all the files that you have
uploaded, the date it was uploaded and the file size for your
reference
- Check Status - provides links to status of your project proposals,
allows you to edit the title of your proposal and resubmit a file
for a particular proposal when advised for revisions.
When advised to make revisions on a proposal, all you have
to do is to modify your copy of that project proposal file and
resubmit it at the Check Status page. The filename should be
same as before in order to overwrite PCIERD's copy of your proposal
file.
- Search Duplicates - allows you to check if you have proposals
with the same title as that of the existing projects of PCIERD
- Account Information - enables users to update personal information.
- Sign Out - users are required to sign out from the on-line
proposal submission application once finished for security reasons.
Q. What should I do if I forgot my User ID or Password?
A. On the log in page of the e-Proposals submission,
click the link in the "Forgot your password" section,
then you will be directed to a page where you are asked to supply
the e-mail address you provided during your registration. After
clicking the submit button, an electronic mail will be sent to you
containing your User ID and Password.
